Rokas Vaitkevičius


Rokas Vaitkevičius, a principal cellist at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, founding member of the Mettis Quartet, and co-founder of Cello Club, is known for his captivating performances and dedication to music education. He shares his passion for music as a teacher of solo cello and chamber music at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, nurturing the next generation of musicians. Rokas’s achievements include winning prestigious competitions as well as captivating audiences at renowned venues and festivals worldwide. Collaborating with esteemed musicians like Sergey Krylov, Alexander Paley, Mūza Rubackytė, Miguel da Silva, Paolo Giacometti, Boris Brovtsyn he enriches performances with his exceptional artistry and virtuosity, evident in his recordings with the Mettis Quartet.
